MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre: A Yellow Toned Eye Base

$16.50 for 0.17 oz
This was not quite what I expected fro what I've heard of MACs Paint Pot. As a kid who really liked art and art class, I would have loved to play with this stuff for hours of wicked unwearable makeup. As an adult....I secretly still wish to do that, but never want to leave the house that way. In truth, I have no outlet. *Sigh*

Oh Thursday, why do thou tease me with your proximity to Friday?

Mood Boost: MAC Play It Proper Beauty Powder

$22.00 for 0.35 oz
As far as I know, this is a limited edition product from MACs Stylishly Yours collection (which had a lot of eye and lip colors I wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole). This was one of the only highlights of my day (no pun intended) and is possibly one of the only products I could every see myself being able to use as a highlighter, blush, and all over powder depending on the time of year or occasion. The powder is smooth and finely milled and doesn't dust up at the slightest stroke. This is gonna last me quite a while, so I'm really happy with the purchase and price. Play It Proper is a very pale pink in the pan with a frosty finish but swatches far more neutral nude (or pale beige) than pink. The under tone is there but it's quite subtle.

MAC Viva Glam Makes Giving Glamorous and Effortless

MAC "Tis Noble to Give Viva Glam" Lip Bag $36.00
Purchased from Nordstrom.com

Full Disclosure: These are the only MAC things I own. Period. I've never had a brush, or eyeshadow, or foundation...nothing MAC, but when I was doing one of my marathon beauty binges online one day, I read about the Viva Glam line. According to MAC''s Website, the MAC AIDS Fund is a big part of the company and a big piece of its heart, plus the entire purchase price of these cosmetics goes towards that AIDS Fund. I'm sold!

I finally bit the bullet and said "if I'm going to buy anything to test whether I like the brand, it better be worth it to somebody," and that it is, THAT IT IS. Apart from coming in its Tartan Tale pouch, the MAC "Tis Noble to Give Viva Glam" from the Tartan Tale collection consists of Viva Glam V Lipstick and Viva Glam V Lipglass. The Lipstick is a lustre finish and totally gorgeous.
